Sorry for the disappearance

Hey all... I've got a bit of flack for not updating this blog. Sorry! I haven't really been up to anything blogable lately, so if you're popping in here, please email me instead. Also, I'll be in Ontario over the holidays. My BC phone is still in effect.

While just now riding home from downtown, late at night, in the rain, I was stopped by a young stag. Dining on grass and leaves under a tree between the road and sidewalk, he looked up when I stopped to watch, but payed me very little more attention. The rain soaked me through and the streets were empty while he ate his fill and calmly walked away, down the middle of the street to the next piece of grass. I rode home.

Dude

The Kiss

Notice that the caption "Bee Mine" was officially not used for this image.

How'd I get two bees to kiss? Well, wouldn't you like to know.

In other news, I'm putting together an official 'Reading list' of books to get through. Any suggestions? I've also been looking at setting up a photo site instead of this blog, as pics look so much better that way (example? Check out Ryan's if you haven't already: www.lotuseaterphotography.com). I'm also looking for tips (and inspiration) on this... thoughts?

I've also erased windows again and am happily back in Linux Land (Interested?). Unfortunately, I lost all my browser bookmarks. So, if you have a blog or anything, send me the link, ok? Thanks!

Otherwise all is well...

The Bee's Knees!

No really, these really are BEE'S KNEES

Well I finally got my Raynox MSN-505 Ultra Macro Lens today... woot woot. I was expecting it to be a little LESS macro. This thing is practically a microscope. It's pretty tough to use because the focal range is a fraction of a millimeter, but it should eventually yield some good results. Here are some from my first session. All of them are of a bee except the last: a fruit fly.
